Job title Financial Director

Place in the company structure reports to General Manager (Ukraine) and Group CFO

Location Kiev

Position objectives

Manage and control the company’s administration, accountancy and financial systems in Ukraine all in line with IFRS. Formulate and supervise strategies, policies and procedures including costing, tax, budget, credit and cash flow management at all levels of the growing organization all to be in line with Group standards

Main responsibilities

  • Establish, implement and clearly communicate financial strategy, goals, and objectives within country of operation, in line with group standards
  • Ensure optimization of use of financial resources, especially through cost control and advising regarding the economical profitability of projects and daily operations
  • Directs timely and accurate preparation of profit and loss account, balance sheet, standard and special management reports, required by the Group and delivered on time according to the Group financial reporting cycle
  • Endure optimization of use own and external finance resources, especially through ensuring forecasting of cash flows, and delivering net debt targets agreed per quarters
  • Ensure realization of tax obligations
  • Cooperation with tax authorities, banks, audit company and other related institutions
  • Coordinate and supervise payroll related issues in order to meet company standards
  • Review and monitor efficiency of outsourced services
  • Ensure that administration systems and procedures in the stores and the the office are properly documented and executed
  • Formulate plans for all the areas of responsibility, and after submission, approval and/or acceptance, effectively organise, manage and supervise the activities of the new functions within finance and administration
  • Establish policies and procedures for the effective recording, analysing, and reporting of all accounting and financial matters so as to ensure that all statutory and corporate obligations are abided by in a timely and efficient way all in line with IFRS
  • Minimise tax liabilities through planning, researching, executing and defending all state, local and foreign taxes applicable to the Company, so as to ensure an optimal utilisation of company financial resources
  • Provide for sound and timely managerial decisions and controls through the provision of evaluated financial and management data
  • Ensure that adequate tools and systems are created to further develop the collection, interpretation and further dissemination of management information
  • To plan, organise and supervise the implementation of the Company’s planning and budgeting processes in line with planning cycle, so as to ensure that they optimally support the management’s activities in terms of their own operational planning, organising and effective implementation of action-plans
  • To plan, organise and supervise all the activities concerned by the management, including the protection and the administration of Company assets, so as to ensure that these supporting services are carried-out in a timely and efficient way, and that they optimally exploit those resources needed for their adequate functioning
  • Ensure that the Company operates within the legal framework, and that all of activities are effectively conducted with due regard for the rules and regulations which might be issued by competent authorities
  • Support all of senior management in financial, fiscal or administrative matters

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Professional experience and skills

  • Primarily 3 years of experience in international audit company (Senior Consultant or Supervisor level at least)
  • 3-4 years of experience as Financial Manager (retail as an additional advantage)
  • Optionally 5-6 years of experience in finance in operations in a large multinational company at leading positions
  • Technical competence in financial reporting with a solid working knowledge of IFRS at least 3 -5 years
  • General knowledge of legal regulations concerning company business activities
  • Familiar with all administrative procedures and systems
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Education

  • University degree in economics/finance
